Limited Mileage and Speed

We operate a limited mileage policy. All our campervans are classic vehicles with air cooled engines. They MUST be treated with respect.

You will be required to ensure the vehicle travels no more than an average of 100 miles per day during the hire period and no more than 150 miles in any one day. Mileage is recorded on departure and return. Any additional mileage will be charged at a rate of 25 pence per mile and will be deducted from the security deposit.

It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle does not exceed 55 MPH. this to be taken into consideration when planning your journey.

All vehicles are fitted with a GPS tracking system which monitor and record the speed of the vehicle.

Breakdown

Our vehicles are extremely well maintained, they are regularly inspected and serviced every 3000 miles. However, it is important to remember that they are classic vehicles and they can be liable to breakdown.

Our vehicles are covered by a comprehensive breakdown policy and where possible the RAC or their partners will attempt to carryout roadside repairs. The most common spares are stored in each vehicle to assist in this process.

In the event that repairs at the roadside are not possible the vehicle and passengers will be transported back to our premises. Dependant on the location of a non-repairable breakdown it may be necessary, because of towing restrictions, to split the return journey into two or more sections.

If the vehicle cannot be promptly repaired upon return then, where possible, a replacement vehicle will be offered for the remainder of the hire period. If no replacement is available then a refund from Happy Campers NI will be made on a pro-rata basis for the remaining hire period.
